I bought mine in January 2021 and use it for work as I have 4 PCs on my desk and have to switch constantly. Anyway, this thing worked perfectly for about 2 months and then all of a sudden the K/M ports burned out or something. When I connect a keyboard or mouse to it, Windows recognizes the device and even tells me on screen that it found the keyboard or mouse, but it just doesn't work. Remember this worked for 2 months. Fortunately, the device has 4 USB ports. So I connected a keyboard and wireless mouse to the USB2 ports. Both started working again, but as these are not standard K/M ports I lost the ability to switch between machines using Scroll+Scroll+1-4. Now I have to physically press a button on the device. Nothing fancy like I usually did. But I will say that in general this device has problems. If those other two ports burn out, I've probably screwed it up and need to get a new one. I would advise avoiding this. I read the reviews and found that several people had the exact same issue. It also turned out that this particular brand is notorious for these electronic issues on other forums as well. So it's a gamble to get this brand. Many people seem happy, some seem incredibly unhappy, and some are somewhere in between like me. Time will tell if my luck has run out.
