Review on πŸ’‘ Kensington SmartSockets: 6-Outlet Surge Protector with 6-Foot Cord & 670 Joules - Efficient Electrical Protection by Michael Radhakrishnan

The design is not suitable for mobile use.

If you use this for something like a stack of mobile electronics, as in our case, you'll find that this isn't a very good solution. It is designed for a rather narrow use: you can put it behind some furniture and leave it standing. I propose this for three reasons. It is very difficult to remove the plug once it is plugged into the socket. The fork has a smooth contour with no finger grips.2. This one has a greedy design where the power cord blocks other outlets in the wall outlet by pushing against the wall. That's fine if you want to hide the plug behind something like furniture, but otherwise it's an issue. You have to plug it into the lowest point of the vertical outlet, and you can't use more than one greedy player.3 The power cord with constant disconnection and movement creates kinks that cannot be eliminated or prevented, so the so-called 8-legs soon shorten significantly. Our lines are now of spiral quality. I noticed that they don't show the fork orientation in any of the pictures.

Pros
  • Surge Protector
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
