The best submersible pump switch on the market. If you have an active drain pump in the area during rainy seasons or when groundwater levels are high like mine, this is the answer. You can adjust the on/off position according to your taste or need, change it according to the season, snowmelt, amount of rain, etc. A fixed mechanical switch does not have the flexibility and reliability of this switch. I have a fairly wide cast in my hole - the distance between on and off is about 8 inches when wet. We live in an area of the city where the water table is rising due to heavy rains and we've just had 2 big storms with very heavy rain. heavy rain producing about 8 inches of rain per week. I used to have a lower cut off switch due to very dry weather but this made the pump run too hard when it rained so I just went down and put it up. Ideal. We now have longer run times with bigger gaps in between - MUCH better for pump life and short cycles kill pumps. If your drain pump is active at all, if you're tired of hearing it run too often, or if it's not removing enough water per run, THIS IS THE ANSWER. I just bought a new one, my last one was 7 years old with (supposedly) 600k to 700k cycles. It still worked great. When I swapped out the sump pump early (Zoeller N98 1/2HP is the way to go, IMO) I swapped out the switch early. I kept the old switch and pump as a backup just in case. You never know. Stak's customer service is also excellent. I called them with questions and they are very responsive. I will warn you about a problem I will warn you about when you buy it. Keep the switches away from the bleed flow if it is drilled into the head tube. If the pump runs too long, a flow restriction is most likely to blame. I have 7.5 years of experience with this thing so I don't know what I'm talking about. She is worth her money. There is no float to jam. Reliable performance. I have recommended them to a few friends and they all loved them.
