Review on 🐜 RVGUARD RV Flying Insect Screen: 2 Pack Stainless Steel Bug Screen with Installation Tool and Silicone Rubber - Protect Furnace Vent from Pests! by Jayme Newitt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Springs loose

The kit looks well made and I like the silicone rubber grommets that keep the screens from moving. However, the supplied springs are not sufficiently tensioned and have loosened several times. To fix this I simply used stainless steel wire and attached each screen with wire that I wrapped around the vent grille and then through the mesh on top of the screen. Now they are safe for life. And one more thing, and this is not the seller's fault. The large square water heater was about 1/2 inch smaller than my suburban water heater. If I remember correctly this did not guarantee suitability for this type of heater but I assumed they all had the same vent size. I had to check but with two stainless wires holding it I was able to center it perfectly so there was just a tiny gap on either side (which I think would stop most bugs). Looks like well done. If anything changes within the next year I will update this review.
