Works Great on my review.

I have a little pup that things he has to dart out and investigate anything and everything as soon as our front door opens. This gate has really allowed us to greet guests and come in and out of the house without the fear of our little instigator making a run for it.It is easy to open and close, and my small 7 yr. old son has no issues getting this gate open or closed. The installation was quite simple, and is easily a one-person job to do. This is my 2nd gate since my son likes to try to do gymnastics on these gates, so this was a replacement from the first one I bought. I am not sure if he still likes to try to do gymnastics on this, but we have had it for several months, and have held up pretty well. I have not had to tighten the ends or adjust it in any manner. All brackets have really held up and I have not noticed any wear and tear on the item. One thing I want to point out that I am not as happy with this gate is not designed to close on its own when it is opened like my last gate did. There are a couple of times a day I have to go and close the gate because it stayed wide open, but other than that, we have been pretty happy with this purchase.I have found that when you are installing this gate; it is better to try to tighten each section of the screw part of the gate a little at a time, to keep it pretty centered where you are placing it. I have one side it of bearing pressure on a wall and the other end on a stairway rail, and it holds great!
