Easy Installation, Very Loud Sound

ADVANTAGES: Easy to install. I installed two alarms on both of my doors in about 5 minutes. The box contained a remote control, a host (a large white box that sticks to the door), a box with a magnet (a thin white stripe) and 3 pieces of tape. The remote control is already programmed to alarm, so this is not necessary. The adhesive strips seem to stick well. The alarm clock is loud. very loud. The remote is also very sleek and resembles the keyless remote in my car. And yes, you can hang it on your keychain. CONS: While I appreciate the volume when the alarm is activated, it's VERY loud for a regular doorbell feature that alerts you when the door is open. For this reason I don't use this function at all. If you have more than one alarm (like me) you have the option of linking a remote control to multiple alarms. However, the downside is that whatever mode you select for a paired console applies to all alarms paired to that console. Just because I want to arm the front door at night doesn't mean I want to arm the door. also my children's room. I just want to be warned that he is trying to leave his room (via doorbell mode). When I found out about this, I had to disconnect the remote control and restore it with an individual alarm. Despite the cons, I think the pros outweigh the cons. It's a good price and appears to be of good quality. I've only been using it for a day but so far so good.

Pros
  • AVOID PROBLEM - KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM CLOSET, SWIMMING POOL, AND ALCOHOL. Watching hikers, sleepwalking, getting the elderly out of bed, avoiding all sorts of dangers.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
