Ink runs out fast

I printed a 39 page report that was 50-75% color and this cartridge shows 25% ink usage. This cartridge only delivers about 100 black pages. Next time I'll buy a third party ink cartridge and if it still performs poorly I'll ditch my new HP printer and go back to Canon.
