These are high quality pans with thick walls and heavy bottoms to retain heat without burning. They look nice and feel nice in the hand. They are heavy duty without being too heavy to easily use. I love the non-stick coating that allows you to use metal utensils and not just nylon ones. I always use nylon in my pots and pans but my kids don't and that has been a source of frustration for us over the years. Now I don't have to worry about it so much.These are induction and dishwasher safe, although I always handwash my pots and pans. These wash very easily. The handles are riveted solidly on the glass tops. They feel sturdy and I don't have to worry about them coming loose like the screw in handles on some cookware. I also like that they are a true handle and not a knob. It's easier to grip for me and feels more secure.The 10 piece set would be a great starter set for a college student or newlywed gift. It contains the 6 basic sized pans you need with interchangeable lids. I like these pans and would definately recommend them to a friend.
