I've tried other ways of transferring my old family slides, including one that promised to transfer them straight to my iPhone, but they were marginal at best. For the price, this device performs very well, capturing images with enough pixels to enlarge slide images and print them out without too much distortion or graininess. The process was quick and I was able to create all my slides. The only downside I see is that some slides can get cut off depending on how you position them in the holder. Unfortunately, this is true of most scanners, not just this one.
