I'm a tall man who mostly runs the local track in lightly cushioned or minimal shoes. I was looking for something that would suit me on the sidewalk. It was exactly what I wanted. Designed for forefoot and midfoot strikes, they are very springy in the toe-off and very soft in the heel, with a heel-to-toe drop of 6mm. They are very wide in the forefoot. Knitted upper fits well and true to size. They encourage a fast running style better than any other shoe with equivalent cushioning that I've tried. They are also lighter than shoes with similar cushioning. To make this possible, they removed the features that heel strikers might prefer. This makes them a mediocre hiking shoe, which seems to be reflected in some of the negative reviews. I also have a Zante Pursuit which I prefer for track training. They are much more resilient and are excellent for asphalt. The runner who settles for shoes with less cushioning on pavements and alternates them with softer, slower shoes for longer runs may not understand their appeal. But they are exactly what I was looking for.
