Pretty good protection from cold winds.
I wear it mostly at work, on an open hill, in cold weather and strong winds. Works great and is quite warm. A special mouth bandage reduces, but does not eliminate, the accumulation of moisture from breathing. Not that I expected it. In addition, it dries faster. I took off a star because it's a bit awkward and I change my head/face configuration while wearing it. However, when it is present, it is very convenient.
