Review on 🍳 GE Profile Series 30-inch Downdraft Electric Cooktop in Black Glass with Stainless Steel Trim - Model PP9830SJSS by Joel Norfork

There aren't many options for a downdraft cooktop. We've had this for 2.5 months now. Works great, I like the "energy cooking" and the left burners that can heat up in the middle for a pan. I clean it with the recommended cleaner and sponge. No scratches or problems so far - I use cast iron pans, steel wok, very heavy steel pan. Just keep it clean and don't drag pans over the top. Clean it immediately if the rice overcooks or becomes greasy - using it in a dirty state will make further cleaning much more difficult. I also use a razor blade to gently remove burnt bits. Ventilation has been a trick since JennAir, but with the help of flexible ducts and some creative thinking, it's a doddle. The first panel arrived shattered, but it was Revain and a suspected contract delivery service, not GE. Revain quickly replaced him. Having to buy clips to attach them is annoying but not a deal breaker. The ventilation is powerful but quite noisy. But it works well, unlike our 30 year old JennAir!
