Great budget canvas! Perfect for camping in a hammock or camping!

This is a great budget tarp! The item description lists the tarp as 10' x 10'; The finished size of my item was approximately 116.5 square inches (approximately 9.7 feet x 9.7 square feet). The material is lightweight 210T Dacron Ripstop with a waterproof coating. There is a large side seam in the middle that has been made well waterproof with some kind of tape. The hem and edges are beautifully double stitched. There are eight identical bindings (3 on each side as shown in the product description) allowing you to use multiple binding options and configurations. The tarpaulin is a square tarpaulin; no section of the contact mesh as shown in the figure. Each tie is reinforced with a triangular doubler (doubles the material) and has a beautifully stitched bodice loop with a metal eyelet. This ensures the integrity of the tarp body while providing a strong bond with multiple attachment options. The kit includes eight lightweight bright orange nylon ropes that can be used for anchoring. There is a plastic adjuster on one end of each cord that allows you to easily adjust the cord to get the tarpaulin tension you want. The kit also includes eight aluminum hooks (budget option). This square tarp and multiple brackets allow you to configure the tarp in many ways; In the images below, I hung the tarp in a typical "A-frame" configuration with a 116.5" ridgeline, as well as a diagonal configuration that gave me a ridgeline of about 165" and only required 2 pegs (This is my favorite configuration for hammock camping. ).In an A-frame configuration, this tarp will cover a 9.5 foot hammock (maybe up to a 10 foot hammock depending on your preferred sag of your hammock ) provides adequate coverage. In a diagonal configuration, this tarp will cover any hammock up to 12 feet long! I tested the tarp's watertightness by forming the tarp into a bucket and filling it with water; After leaving the tarp on for more than 5 minutes of being held in this way there was absolutely no seepage through the material (see pictures below). Everything is packed in a nice color matching nylon zip bag. Pegs and ropes are in a bag marked R zipper wrapped; It would have been nice to include a smaller nylon bag for stakes/ropes, but that's my personal preference. I would recommend using a ridge with this tarp (or any other tarp!). Also, I plan on getting better quality three-sided aluminum pegs to replace the plain aluminum pegs that come with this item (because the tarp is so pretty!). This is a great lightweight, budget friendly tarp for all the hammock lovers out there! I have a much more expensive tarp that I'm leaving at home for an upcoming 4 day hike in Colorado, so I'll take that. Featured!
