A few things keep these straps from getting 5 stars. I found that the buckle didn't hold the non-ribbed portion of the belt in place as well as more traditional military style buckles do, and these traditional military style buckles are also easier to use to secure the belt in the buckle. Also, these straps are slightly wider than other canvas straps I've purchased, which sometimes makes it a bit difficult to thread the strap through certain strap loops, both when putting on and removing the strap. Otherwise the canvas is nice and durable, the color variety is superb and I love how the buckle attaches.
