This webcam costs $32 plus tax. It's a 30fps wide-angle lens with a maximum resolution of 1080p. The webcam is plug and play - as soon as you plug it into the USB 2/USB 3 port, it will be recognized. A separate device driver is not required. The webcam image is greatly enhanced using the Nexigo webcam software which can be downloaded from their website. This software can be used to adjust the image and various other settings. The settings are stored in the camera and appear to be retained after a power failure. Different settings can be saved in different files to be used later in different lighting situations or for different effects. This software can be used during a Zoom meeting and change the settings on the fly. The ring light has three levels of brightness that you can change dynamically by touching the ring around the lens. Try playing with them until you get the result you want. Can be used mainly when the image is dark due to backlight and just one touch activates it. I've found ring light to be useful for removing shadows on the face due to different lighting conditions in the room. You can use the ring light during Zoom calls. The microphone is average - it's not the best in its class, but it's good for this price range. I still prefer using headphones. I will say that this webcam is good for kids doing distance learning or for simple gatherings with friends and family. Nexigo has the best webcam I suggest for office meetings. The movement of this webcam is limited, so place it on a computer monitor. Sits very well - does not fall off. Wide viewing angle is good. For example, a small green dot indicates that the webcam is in use and you are facing the camera. I liked the magnetic cover that came with this webcam. The webcam came with a manual, which is great as other manufacturers have stopped providing manuals altogether. The Nexigo software is good. You can play around with it, and if you screw up, hit the default key. If you like the setting, just save it. Don't play with the sharpening as this webcam has some graininess issues. The outer box looked a bit used but the inside was fine. Understand, this is a budget webcam. If you want a high-end webcam, you should look for a webcam over $50. The support team works well, both via chat and email. Support is located in the US.
