I like this product and the service I get from HiLetgo. Oliva always answers emails. I've used this with both Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Currently I decided to connect it to Arduino Nano and read it via serial port on Raspberry Pi. This is a good setup as it leaves all GPIO pins free on the Pi for use with motor boards, sensors, etc. I would suggest using the provided rectangular pins that came with the board as this allows access to them. easier after installation in the project. There are tutorials online for rfid-rc522. They direct you to the connection and also point you to the libraries for Arduino and Raspberry Pi. I have purchased several items from HiLetgo and have always found them to be of the highest quality and at a reasonable price.
