The shoes themselves are great. These are probably the most comfortable VFFs I own and have been the only shoes I've worn in the last ten years. I know this because I started when we got our dog Jack and he just turned 10 years old. My size is 40 and I currently have 3 pairs, all 40's. One for everyday warm weather, one for warm weather running and one that I wear in the ring. (I'm the only boxer who doesn't fight in boxing shoes.) That's how much I love VFF. In the last race the temperature dropped to zero and my feet were cold. I decided that I needed winter sneakers. I bought these in size 40. However, I didn't take into account the extra padding from the insulation. I spent 3 weeks breaking them in but in the end I had to admit they didn't fit. My advice: Yes, buy shoes. But take one size larger than your usual size.
