Bought twice. The first time was in 2018 or something. They fit perfectly. I bought another pair in 2021 and they seem to make the butt area appear smaller. legs are longer. There is a lot more fabric in the crotch area. The length between the top waist and the crotch is also very long. So unless you're 6ft tall and have very long legs, lots of length between the belly button and crotch area and a small butt, they won't fit. You're right. (Even then, I don't know if they'll fit anyone else!) I'm not sure why they were scaled down like that!
