The drive works perfectly. They all experience disconnects because their computers see this device as a USB peripheral. Technically, this is a wireless USB network device that requires 100% power. Computers handle USB peripherals dynamically, which means your computer turns off their power supply when they are idle. To prevent this, go to your computer's Control Panel, located in the Start menu, and open DEVICE MANAGER. Scroll down to NETWORK ADAPTER and click the arrow next to it. Right-click Linksys AE2500 and select Properties. Then go to the "Power Management" tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save battery". Click OK and the device will stop losing power and turn off.
