I've had this tank before but in a smaller size. The old one had no problems until the filter burst. I decided it was time for an upgrade anyway and having loved the old one for years I went with the same brand. Just got a size up. Couldn't be more disappointed with the sound of this filter. It is so loud! Whatever I do, it's loud! I've had aquariums for years! I've tried everything I can think of to silence this filter. Looking at it, I understand that this is definitely not the quality that my old tank had. Really fully assembled! Most likely the hose they attached to him was meant for something else. I may have received a remanufactured filter for a new tank. In any case, I wouldn't recommend this tank unless you're a fan of noisy filters. The filter flow is too harsh even when turned off completely for beta fish, guppies or even puffer fish! Unless this function works with my filter. I will say one thing, the tank is gorgeous! It just sounds awful!
