Ecosystem Project - Fish Tanks and Aquariums

I like it a lot. We painted the back of the tank black and added a diving lantern. I recommend soaking the seeds for a few days until they germinate before placing them on the rocks. We added Aquatic Plants, Guppy, African Dwarf Frog, Mysterious Snail, Neriti Snail and Blue Velvet Shrimp. It's a very happy ecosystem.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

Killed my fight fish

I don't write negative reviews but this aquarium killed my rooster. It was sucked into the pump. This tank is a great idea, but it's really just a mess. nothing grows Seriously, don't buy it unless you want dead fish and a waste of money. Choose a traditional aquarium. and traditional plants. Separately. I know it's tempting.

  • The list is long.

Pump Kills Fish: Aquariums & Aquariums

Let me start by saying that I really like this aquarium. However, the pump is powerful enough to get the fish stuck in it and die. We bought our first beta fish that lived three weeks and our second fish lived three days. The company really shouldn't be selling this aquarium if it's going to kill fish. I hope they fix this and make a cover/protection around the pump. It may be silly but it makes me very sad to see a fish die because of this pump. On our first fish we suspected a pump but…

Swimming Shady Hurt

I was so excited about this, I installed it, I got my tail, stuck my tail in and within 10 seconds the pump was sucking my fish in and it couldn't swim away and me turned it off immediately and had to help free my fish. The gamecock's fins are so fragile that I now monitor it for cracked fins/fin rot. I haven't rewired this deathtrap and emailed about a possible fix, but I will most likely be returning this item and getting a safer tank. 10 out of 10 NOT RECOMMENDED Update: Back to Roots…

The nitrogen cycle will never start and the fish will die.

Bought my tank in April with high hopes. Little did I know that what was included in the kit wasn't enough to keep a betta alive. When I lived in the Pacific Northwest the temperatures were cool and I had to purchase a heater to bring the water temperature up to something that looked livable for my betta. Then I had to buy additional accessories for the aquarium because the bettas need a hiding place to feel relaxed and healthy. my tank. My first fish died after two weeks so I bought a water…

Leaves a lot to be desired

Don't get me wrong, this tank is good for what it is, but it's not much, especially at almost $100. First, you really need a heater to store everything else. than a goldfish living in this aquarium. We bought it for Bettu so we added a heater. And more effort. Second, it is far from self-cleaning. Keep it out of sunlight and the plants won't grow to do their job. Give it enough sunlight for plants and algae to grow. Enter the algae eater and you now have more poo than the plants can clear. Yes,

Then it all starts as a cool science experiment.

Brilliant idea of growing resistant plants/plants using fish waste instead of fertilizer. But it takes a lot of knowledge to keep a garden sustainable; which means a lot of work to breed these tiny bugs. Of course, you soak these little seeds to your heart's content and then put them in pods to grow. Good. These sprouts are growing great and they keep following the same clockwork routines to keep these bastards happy. Spring. Here's the problem with aquaponics. They get that weird sweet and…

Beautiful, functional, irreplaceable

I love this product. Love it. Since pets can be too much of a responsibility for a New Yorker, I decided to try a fish as an adult. I was a kid when I had fish and times were simpler back then but now there are so many accessories and things to take care of. I wanted a simple, eco-friendly solution with a beautiful presentation that would give me food and something nice to look at. This water garden has been checked for all labels. — SETUP — It was incredibly easy to set up. The kit includes a…
