Description of MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 SUV 265/55 R20 113T winter

Michelin X-Ice North 4 SUV is designed for SUVs and crossovers. Announced in spring 2019. The tire is designed to overcome severe winter weather conditions. The MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 studded tire provides a high level of braking and handling on ice, while maintaining low noise levels. The Michelin X-Ice North 4 SUV winter tire is designed for crossovers and SUVs that rarely go off paved roads. Structurally, it is a version of the eponymous "passenger" model. It differs from it in the size range and design, adapted to the increased weight and high center of gravity of all-wheel drive vehicles. The performance properties of both tires are almost identical. Increased number of spikesOne of the key features of this model is the number of spikes. The tread, depending on the width, contains at least 250 metal elements distributed along at least 22 longitudinal and transverse lines. The installation locations are the result of the application of computer simulation technologies, which have made it possible to find the perfect balance between traction and acoustic comfort. Around each spike on the tread there are special "holes" - zones with numerous protrusions that grind ice chips into smaller fractions. The body of the stud is fixed in the lower "hard" layer of the tread, which reduces the risk of losing it. Grip stability on asphalt and snow This solution increases the size of the contact patch, ensuring uniform distribution of pressure over it. As a result, traction on asphalt and snow becomes more stable. Reliability in the most difficult conditionsIn the most difficult conditions, the tire demonstrates excellent reliability. In many ways, it is due to the design of the frame, in which an additional cord appeared. On top of it is an additional layer of a special material that is resistant to negative temperatures. It additionally enhances the level of sealing of the inner space of the tire in severe frosts. The main features of the Michelin X-Ice North 4 SUV - an increased number of studs and a computer-aided layout of their arrangement provides high grip stability and acoustic comfort; - special "holes" around the studs crush ice chips; - low risk of losing studs due to their fixation in the lower hard layer of the running part of the tread; - optimized arrangement of blocks increases grip stability on asphalt and snow, prevents uneven wear; - reinforced carcass with an additional sealing layer ensures reliability at extremely low temperatures. A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I don't notice much noise. Drove 250 km. Road holding is excellent, especially compared to the old ones. They brake super. The spike is of an interesting shape, only a hard-alloy rubber stud sticks out.

Pros
  • - According to reviews, the same with Nokian 10R. But the spikes are probably worse on the Nokian, but this is my guess. Only on the Nokian after the tests behind the wheel there was no 1 spike on the rear wheels.
Cons
  • No.

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

These winter tires are the greatest I've ever had. BMW 340 hp diesel, 700 lb-ft of torque, all-wheel drive. I was a very aggressive driver. On an ice lake, I dug a path through the snow and followed it in my car. Video of a Car Driving in the Snow? v=QWCIBk4pmbQ&t=174s

Pros
  • These winter tires are the greatest I've ever had. BMW 340 hp diesel, 700 lb-ft of torque, all-wheel drive. - During the entire season, not a SINGLE ship took to the skies. Excellent Hong Kongeability. - Excellent traction in every weather Excellent cost-effectiveness.
Cons

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

I decided to give it a try this year after using Dunlop 02 previously. In my opinion, the tire is much better for urban use, is quiet, and effectively grips bare ice. Expensive, but as they say, someone's bumper is 5 cm of braking distance,

Pros
  • Low noise, excellent traction
Cons
  • Cost and pattern direction

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

Excellent rubber! Both the Hankook and the Nokian Nordman 7 are being utilized at the same time in the same size. The fact that they didn't even "stand next to each other" makes Hankook an especially despicable person.

Pros
  • Regarding its handling, its silence, and its behavior on any surface (in accordance with the time of year),
Cons
  • -

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

skated the season, all the spikes are in place, the tires are like new, and in St. Petersburg the winter is not snowy, the cold slippery asphalt keeps well, in my memory the best rubber

Pros
  • wear resistance, Sustainability Clutch
Cons
  • Not detected, although he drove calmly, did not suit hard checks at speeds over 80 in the city

Not a bad product, but you can do better.

Everything is in order on the dry or wet pavement. While you are in motion and not making any jerky movements, this is correct. I have not yet had the opportunity to test it on ice or snow. A race that was completed on ice and oatmeal. The speed of the car does not decrease. I do not suggest.

What you need, a cool purchase, I advise you.

A great number of spikes and premium brand Some pros: 1) Maintains its grip excellently even when driving on snowy roads. Even if you hadn't planned on it, you'll probably end up being faster than the majority of other motorists on winter roads because to the conditions we're seeing right now. You will feel an odd sense of supremacy in addition to moving faster than the average flow rate (this is especially true if you have 4WD), thanks to this rubber's performance. 2) A thorough raking of the…

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

Rubber is great; it's silent, and these 250 spikes barely make a sound. In contrast to the "clatter" of thorns, their noise has more of a "tingle" to it; its timbre is rather pleasant. Michelin tires have a carcass of the highest possible quality, allowing them to go an unprecedented distance before showing signs of wear. The tread is cut to its maximum depth, and on some models, the lamellas are "exposed" in a different way as they wear. Because of this, you can use every last bit of tread on

Pros
  • Silence
Cons
  • smoother than I'd like during sharp taxiing; perhaps Hakas 4 and 5 are superior.

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

In this day and age of globalization, in my humble opinion, all products that fall inside the same price bracket have nearly the same level of consumer-oriented features. The distinction in marketing. Because of this, reviews such as "The best winter tires I have ever ridden" and "The worst tires" are disregarded right from the beginning of the process. 235/60/R18. In Hong Kong during the months of November and December in the year 2022, the rubber is transparent and well worth the investment.

Pros
  • I will make a reservation as soon as possible; at this point, on the eve of the New Year 2022, it is pointless to wait for a comprehensive evaluation from buyers residing on the Central 2022 Upland! The cities have not received any snowfall, and the temperature is straining to reach 0 degrees Celsius. These studded tires on clean asphalt in the city have a number of advantages, including the following: - mild noise. Do not put any stock in the remarks that claim they are not noisy. People are easily influenced either because the music is intense or because of marketing. On the other hand, they are noticeably quieter than the Toyo OpenCountry and the Nokian SUV 5, all of which are in the same price range. However, even with good Shumkov, there is a rumble closer than one hundred kilometers, and its rhythmic scream may be heard. However, there are no increases in activity if this symptom is absent. - After two months of driving on asphalt with a Honda C-RV K24, all of the spikes are in their proper positions. I believe that this is a reliable signal. a high level of resistance when rolling. This model takes off at a stoplight without much "thoughtfulness" despite having a studded tread and soft rubber. That will do for the time being. When the actual winter of 2022 arrives, I'll go ahead and write it off.
Cons
  • To tell you the truth, having given in to marketing, I anticipated a lower overall level of noise. Despite the fact that I have spent my entire life driving only on studded tires during the winter, I thought, "Well, that's it." There is some noise, but it is less than what was experienced in the Nokian SUV 5 and the Toyota OpenCountry that came before it. There were no further problems that were found. The season of true winter may soon arrive; only time will tell.

Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

It's the best one I've ridden. I know that teddy bears are the best, from my experience of riding summer tires, but to do this with spikes . The Japanese smoke on the sidelines. Due to the different size of the spike, it is quiet. Side grip, like a on a fifteen-year-old. As I just did not enter the turns. Within reason, of course. But toyo g3 last season did not even hold half of these speeds. She immediately went into a skid. But that's not all the surprises. The other day I changed my shoes…

Pros
  • Valera, this is space!
Cons
  • No.

Since the season has more or less come to an end, we might as well start the recap. The majority of the workouts took place in urban areas and on highways, and due to the peculiar weather conditions, the majority of the runs were done on asphalt, regardless of whether it was frozen or wet. I need spikes since there is an ice track that begins just after the exit from the freeway. I was concerned about how well this spike would perform on bare pavement, but it still performs quite well in that…

Pros
  • I took it on the 19th of December, and I'm currently experiencing a collision with the Grand Vitara. Produced in Poland for the past 19 years. The city is covered in asphalt as there is no snow at this time. Surprisingly, even at speeds of up to 80 (I haven't tried going any faster yet), I don't notice any noise coming from the wheels. Neither do I engage in evasive manoeuvres, which is why there are no concerns regarding the vehicle's handling while I'm driving in the city. I don't perceive any significant differences between this and summer. When it starts to snow, that's when I head out to the racetrack. We'll take a more in-depth look at that later))
Cons
  • It has not been disclosed yet.

The quality is ok on the whole, it has some small flaws.

Prior to that, there was the HAKA 5 version. I'm not sure how old she was, but I do know that the spikes migrated out of their natural habitats in a congenial group a couple of years ago. After doing an investigation, I came to the conclusion that the issue had been resolved. However, as his previous actions had demonstrated, he just wasted the money. Spikes depart the promised sites in flocks, not because they are getting old, but more because the qualities of rubber have changed, and no one…

Pros
  • Auto LR FR 2 + RR Evoque. The primary natural environment that may be found inside the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The rubber is exceptionally soft and has a ball-like consistency in that it is soft on all sides (both under the tread and on the sides). This is, of course, a benefit for the city, but for the highway, it is a detriment because the directional stability is not quite as good as it could be in this regard. Only one positive aspect stands out to me, and that is the outstanding traction on packed snow. In addition, an excellent grip is preserved not just throughout turns but also during acceleration and braking as well. In all other respects, the result is about par for the course when compared to tires available in this price range.
Cons
  • There is a noise that, depending on how quickly things are moving, shifts and changes. There are no miracles, and there is no such thing as a quiet studded tire that exists yet. On snow that is not packed down, it rows similarly to the other tires in this segment. On the wet road is also not terrible, and it may even be better than some of the other options. Acceptable on dry pavement. On the other hand, the grip was inadequate for the glassy road conditions. BRIDGE, who had been standing earlier, was considerably more capable. I ran into curves on it at such a pace that not everyone could accomplish it in the summer, but when it's loaded with BEERS, it already carries 60. In addition, during acceleration, each of the four wheels undergoes continual polishing. I am disappointed because I did not anticipate this from such a renowned rubber. When traveling on oatmeal or inter-row ice, you need to constantly catch up to a car. Once more, this highlights the importance of maintaining directional stability. The tread width is also significantly reduced, which is yet another drawback. In this size, KHAKI, BRIDGE, and PIRELLI all have a circumference of 200 mm, however this one only measures 180 mm. Too bad, but it will cut down on consumption. Maybe. I really hope this is the purpose it was designed for.

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

For equal, took 4 225 65 17 The rubber is quite silent (I don't play any music in the car, and I didn't make any noise when driving). I had used a lot of studded rubber, so there is a comparison. When I put on my new shoes, I initially didn't realize that I was wearing spikes because there was almost NO hum! It's difficult to talk about managing because there wasn't a lot of snow last winter. The general situation, though, was not horrible throughout the blizzard and ice (I refrained from…

Pros
  • Simply put, Michelin
Cons
  • Price. But it is not regrettable for such rubber.

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

In August of 2022, I will have purchased 265/60 R18 tires for my brand new TLC-150 Prado V6. Production began in the 19th week of 2022 and was completed in Poland. I put 5000 kilometers on them over the 2022-2022 winter. The icy sidewalks can be attributed to the fluctuating temperatures typical of a St. Petersburg winter. On the road, it exhibits perfect etiquette; it has never skidded. I didn't get a precise count, but all of the spikes appear to be still in place. Predictably, highway gas…

Pros
  • Excellent symmetry. Soft. They're great skaters. low-key; not distracting.
Cons
  • Snow quickly accumulates on the lamellae, blocking them off. There is just one transverse groove on the rubber lugs, the ones with the herringbone pattern, as opposed to two like in the promotional images.

Prior to that, I used Haku 7 for six years in the winter, and it was wonderful for me. However, last year, a pair of wheels lost their geometry and started to knock when I was moving quickly. I gave the X-ice4 a try last winter and bought my wife one for a car within a 16-meter range since she liked it. To save on safety and avoid experimentation, I chose the same one for myself. Like asphalt, winter hasn't arrived yet, which is surprising.

Pros
  • In comparison to cheap Korean summer tires, manageability is better even at favorable temperatures. The noise is moderate for spikes. I don't care about appearance because it is a personal affair.
Cons
  • Size 245/60/18 is uncommon and pricey; instead, consider 235/60/18, which costs 10tr less each set. This size difference is not as noticeable with other manufactures. After reaching 100 km/h, there is a sound that is audible but not silent; it sounds like a helicopter flying sufficiently far away. At the same time, the first few tens of kilometers of the run-in were even noisier.
