Handles and cup get very hot after a few weeks of use.

Loved the look of these fun cups however, after a few weeks of use the handles and cups became extremely hot coming out of microwave. Despite the fact that the manufacturer says they are microwave safe, they are not.I am concerned that whatever they put on initially to make them microwave safe and now not, may be toxic. I do not know why these changed in temperature so dramatically after a few weeks of ordinary microwave use.Not a good buy if you can’t pick them up and you don’t understand what was put on them initially to stop cup from getting hot.And now of course too late to get my money back on said item.
