I bought these buttons for our special needs granddaughter who is 4.5 years old but is unable to speak due to a genetic disease that has attacked her brain. When I tried to figure out what was going on, I found that the batteries were dead. I changed the batteries and everything worked. But after about 1-2 weeks the batteries were empty again. Replaced batteries, everything worked fine, and then the same batteries died after 1-2 weeks. This is not due to frequent use. At best, she can press the button 5-10 times a week. So there must be a defect that is draining the batteries.
