My son is fed via the gastrointestinal tract and only eats puree. This can be a problem when you go to a restaurant. Carrying around a plug-in mixer is a chore, and restaurants rarely let us use it. So I bought this hoping I could hand mash my son's food for him to eat. It works like this. This would be great for a thick salsa. In fact, I'm keeping it because it cuts up some veggies the way I like them for soups. However, if you are looking for a non-electric paper shredder, this one will definitely do the trick. And if anyone has any suggestions for chopping up food in restaurants I'd appreciate it.
