This microphone exceeded my expectations as I was expecting something that wasn't as fun, easy to use and interesting as this one. The various features to change your voice are cool and can definitely make you sound interesting! Battery life has yet to be determined as I've only been using this device for a few days, but so far I haven't had to charge it for more than the recommended 2 hours for the first charge and we've used it consistently. I haven't tried recording myself with a mobile phone and downloading the app, but if I do I'll update this review. The mic itself has some weight, which is nice, it doesn't feel cheap. Its lighting effects are also cool, especially in the dark. I've noticed that I can't hear my own voice when speaking into the microphone with the voice effect and echo turned off. When I wrap my arm around the microphone and then speak into it, my voice is heard much louder through the speaker. I'm not sure if this is a bug or just how it's supposed to sound.
