I've just moved into a new apartment and wanted to try smart LED lamps for my kitchen. After some research, I decided to use a Sylvania Bluetooth A19 full-color LED to pair with my Alexa Echo (2nd Gen) speaker for hands-free voice control. I made the mistake of ticking the "This is a gift" box, so initially had a little trouble pairing the bulbs with Alexa. Anyway, I followed the instructions and my lightbulbs worked perfectly. 1) Power on/off 5 times to reset the lightbulbs (You will see the lightbulbs flashing different colors when resetting). 2) Download the Sylvania Bluetooth app to update the firmware. 3) did a HARD RESET on my Echo device (this step is the MOST IMPORTANT). For some reason my Echo device (maybe it's old) didn't recognize the lightbulbs so I had to unplug and plug it back in to clear the memory. Once that was done I told Alexa to "discover devices" and it found both bulbs. Now I can tell Alexa to turn the lights on/off, change colors, group lights, and set routines to turn them on and off as needed. Overall a great product, the pairing issue was due to my Echo device not clearing the storage.
