I switched to this product from the COOLER MASTER Silencio 550 case, and this review is written in comparison with the previous case. I don’t know how the sites promoted by it write reviews, but there are a lot of complaints about this product. Minuses. Firstly, it saves a lot on materials, and this is NOT ACCEPTABLE for top products! The savings lie in the thickness of the used steel - walls, baskets, chassis are noticeably thinner than on the same Silencio 550. If you pick up a removed HDD basket and do not know that it was removed from the Define R5, you might think that it is from a cheap Chinese case. She is so fragile and not strong. The color quality of white parts is depressing - frank lack of paint, especially on plates for SSD. The screws and threads on them are frankly "plasticine", and in general, picking up fasteners creates a feeling of second-rate quality. The 3.5" sled and its latches in the basket are made entirely of metal, it looks very cheap (on the same Silencio 550 the latches were plastic, they looked more solid and expensive). Painted as disgustingly as all the other white parts. Moreover, the sled noticeably dangling in the basket (both with a disk and empty ones). The rear wall plugs also noticeably dangle in their places. The thread in the tray for MP racks looks untidy, not neat, like on cheap cases. The solid door is actually flimsy, fastened with latches, not magnets. Pros. Everything except MP and PSU can be mounted as you like. Very large opportunities for the transformation of the body. Very large opportunities for installing huge water heaters: you can install them at the top, at the bottom, on the front wall. The front door can be re-hung. The quality of the black parts. Convenient bottom dust filter. As a result, I would not take such a case again, a rather interesting and high-quality thing, with a bunch of minor flaws and shortcomings.
