Didn't work despite following instructions

I followed the instructions exactly and tried to switch off and restart several times. However, this gave me 3 false alarms and didn't recognize the correct switch at all. I don't know if there's anything weird about the wiring in my house, but it totally let me down. Also, I'd recommend picking one with manual sensitivity because at least then you can dial in the correct sensitivity yourself rather than relying on what seems like a poor automatic sensitivity mechanism.
