Rowenta has always made quality products and I have had several over the last 20 years. This clothes steamer is exactly what I expected from the manufacturer. It was quick and easy to assemble (only took 5 minutes), looks good, doesn't take up much space and works very well. Functionally, getting started is very easy. Just fill the tank with water and turn it on. Wait about a minute and you will see steam coming out of the device head. It offers a generous 3 heat/steam settings. I still had to use the highest setting and I think it's more for things like tapestries, curtains and the like. The support screen is invaluable. This keeps your focused clothing steady and straight and really reduces the chances of getting burned. It also helps you get the job done much more efficiently. While this clothes steamer is great, there are just a few things that could use a little improvement. I would like to see an option to "pause" the steam feed. For now, the only option is to turn it on permanently or turn it off. I've come to terms with this and learned to align all of my items and be ready to maximize vapor and heat output. I'm also not thrilled with how the vapor head is stored. Everything is fine when switched off/cooled. However, when it's on and I put it in the mount, I'm always in doubt as to whether it's secure and secure. If it falls, I can see it's a big problem. My final (and biggest) issue is that this unit doesn't have wheels. I keep this clothes steamer on the wall in my laundry room when not in use and have to drag it to the center of the room before using it. You have no choice but to grab it by the extension cord, which I think will compromise its integrity sooner or later. Even with small things that I think could be improved, I would still recommend it without hesitation. For the price, there is nothing better than this Rowenta device.
