I really like this laptop cover. It will not help much if the computer falls or is accidentally dropped, but it does protect almost all of the outside of my laptop from common scratches and scuff marks. I also like that the color I chose is not super smooth; the cover makes my laptop less likely to slip. I do not know if other colors also have this nonslip plastic. This cover is great if a light-weight cover is more important to you than drop-protection. I am much more likely to scratch the computer's metal frame than I am to actually drop it.I had to stop using the keyboard protector because it left marks on my screen. Apple just does not leave enough room for even a thin keyboard protector. I did not like that the keyboard protector blocked the keyboard's back lighting, but there were two easy fixes: take it off when I am using the computer in the dark or tilt the monitor slightly so that the screen lights up the keys. I liked the idea of a keyboard protector, but it just did not work on my early 2020 13" MacBook Pro.
