Great for magnetic compatible surfaces

The magnetic base is very strong, stays on magnetic compatible surfaces but the base doesn't hold the light stable on non-magnetic surfaces like workbenches etc so 3 for versatility. As I bought this item specifically for my new bandsaw it is perfect for this job. The illumination of the area is quite variable in size, with an adjustable focus and two levels of intensity. It's a little odd to dim with a half-pressed switch, but it works. I can't comment on the battery life, although the insert states 20 hours in full brightness mode. The luminous flux is strong blue-white, almost daylight.
