So it works.

While this works and allowed me to add Apple CarPlay, be aware that unless you get a deck with climate control capabilities, you won't like the controls on this dashboard. You can't know exactly how hot or cold the temperature is set anyway, because the dial simply turns endlessly in both directions. It always causes some strange effects when the ventilation control changes the position of the vent, which seems quite random. The fan control is also similar in that the control knob rotates in either direction indefinitely as well. However, it's a bit easier to know where you are since you can feel and hear the fan.
