My dead batteries used to be very badly corroded. I've cleaned them up and painted some of them and they look exactly the same as when I put them on a few months ago. Be sure to paint around any metal bands and vents in addition to the connectors. The first time I only did the clamps and there was still growth around the vents and strap. Nothing after repair. EDIT: About 6 months after the first use I again saw a small amount of corrosion on the red connector. However, I won't downgrade his rating as that could be because he didn't completely clean up the corrosion beforehand. Update 05/23/2016: One year later and still no corrosion on any vehicles it has been used on. Update 7/2/2017: Still no corrosion on any of my machines since using this
