Do not connect directly to the battery! Directions are wrong.
I bought these for a car project we were working on last year. Finally, last week I was able to open it for installation. We routed the cables, which was not an easy task with this particular setup. The instructions say to connect directly to the battery. Big mistake! Make sure you need a fuse between the battery and the power cord. The light came on and went off almost immediately. I opened the relay box and found that it was blown. So confused about this. The fuse would have prevented this. The instructions don't talk about it.
