Uses this interface module for 2010 Volkswagen Routan. The guide was great and explained things well. As a replacement, I used a Jensen VX7020 head unit. Once you have the installation instructions for the interface and the radio side by side it will be very easy. not mandatory. For me the radio had a wire for each interface wire except for the speed sensor. Since the radio was a GPS-enabled navigation device, it recorded its own speed. Some radios that don't support GPS/Navigation can show your speed on the display and that's where this cable is needed, but not in my case. . The Jensen brand didn't appear in the list of supported radios, but the #7 dial selection corresponds to "Other". It worked perfectly and all steering wheel functions worked properly. I was also able to hide this module neatly and easily behind the head unit and dashboard. When needed, I used 2ft wire extensions between the radio harness and the factory harness to allow these modules to be hidden under or alongside the unit. All in all it was a near perfect setup.
