Used for overland travel. Easy to pack, and a vinyl pad for my glass car roof was included and needed (the cushion didn't cover the entire area where the trunk made contact with my roof). My SUV doesn't have a trunk. We used the extension hooks that came with the holder and fitted them over the windows as directed. We didn't dare to open the windows all the way up because of the vibrations during the movement, which could lead to cracks in the window glass. This created a loud noise in the wind tunnel throughout the ride. My group also agreed that an additional ratchet is needed that can be passed through the SUV and secures the load. The zipper is attached and protects well from bad weather. Great storage and worked very well for my needs.
