I'm all for hard boiled eggs and when my Kitchenaid slicer went to the 99 . Wow what a disappointment. If you're hard-boiling medium or small eggs, this can be a great cut. But for big eggs or bigger, not so much. yes it shines Yes, it's hard work. Yes, I feel like I have a professional egg slicer. But I don't really care because it doesn't cut well and that's why I bought it. The big egg doesn't even fit in the rubber molded egg mold which was a bad sign. When slicing, it slices well into about half of the egg and then flattens the other half, creating a mess between the egg and the slicer. It wasn't any better with a foursome. I've tried this more than once and every time the same result. No bueno. Not recommended.
