I'm an MDT Toyota techie. We had a salesman who lost all the keys to a new Highlander and the only way to keep the smart key computer running so you can refill is to flick the door lock switch at 1.5 second intervals - and turn off. Over 20 minutes at a time. Lose the rhythm and you start over. This solves this problem. Use a relay to turn on the circuit ground and an adapter box to power the timer. If you're a Toyota technician, spend $40 and get programmable Wi-Fi.
