Review on Qishare Laptop Shoulder Bag: 11.6-12 Inch Multi-Functional Carrying Case For Microsoft Surface Pro & MacBook Air (Gray Lines) by Christopher Karamba

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's Size Makes This Tablet Bag Both Limiting and Versitile

I bought the Qishare 10 11"/11.6" tablet bag for use with my Surface Pro (2017), as my older Surface Pro finally broke after heavy use and I wanted to be a bit more careful with a replacement. The product was shipped as expected in good condition.Pros:1) The bag perfectly fits my Surface Pro with type cover (about an inch leftover on sides and top), the inside measurements on the product page helped with my decision. It's large enough to give room to fit my hand to take out the tablet, but snug enough to prevent much movement - the thickness of the bag is tight to help hold it in place. I was surprised that the bag could even fit my separate 14" ultrabook (manufacturing inconsistencies may vary), but in that case it was a really tight and the weight would wear out the bag more quickly.2) Good carrying options, with both handles (can be hid in small pockets underneath them) and detatchable sling to hang on your shoulder.3) Main pocket and one front pocket has good zippers for security and protection.4) I was impressed with the padding inside the main pocket: there is a soft white material with thin but present foam padding that wraps from the front -> bottom -> back. The left and right sides don't have this padding, but there is some extra stitching in those areas, and the bag gets tighter on the ends to keep things in place, such that I feel safe with my tablet inside all around. This feels more protective than any other < $50 bag I've seen, fulfilling the main reason I bought the bag.Cons:5) I only received this a week ago, but I suspect the bag's handles and sling will tear overtime based on the material and how they are stitched. If you are using this bag for something much heavier than an iPad or Surface tablet, it will probably feel prone to wear out more quickly.6) The bag could double as a laptop sleeve in a larger backpack or briefcase, but because of the padding and extra pockets, the whole thing feels a little too thick to place alongside other items in a bag.7) The optional side pockets are REALLY tight. In the front pocket with a zipper, there's a couple pen holders to help organize, but it is difficult to put anything larger than a few pens and maybe a USB cable. A full brick charger is out of the question. The additional two Velcro pockets at the handles wouldn't fit much either. Anything the size of a folder or magazine would have to be placed in the main pocket with the tablet. I was able to fit a Surface Pro with Type Cover, a folder with a dozen sheets of paper, a few pens, and a 3 1/2" x 5" pocket notebook comfortably. I currently try to put a hardcover 5" x 7" notebook in the front zipper pocket, if it could fit this then this would have been the ideal leisure bag for me to take on day-long trips, but it is tight enough for me to be scared of its lifespan.Pros:8) . but if the bag doesn't quite fit everything I need, it's small enough to fill the main pocket of a larger, cheaper bag, like a messenger back or small backpack. Doing so might provide more pocket options and better ergonomics, and allows me to reuse paper-thin bags I was afraid to put a computer in. If you don't have such a bag, you can easily find one for under $5 to put this in. If this is the main or only object you are placing in a larger pocket of a second bag, it fits well.Overall, despite the great protection, it's slightly too thick to be a compact sleeve, and slightly too tight to carry everything one would need besides a tablet. But it can still be used within these restrictions, and its size does allow it to be paired inside an older/cheaper bag for the best complete experience. Ultimately, I'm satisfied with this purchase.EDIT 2018-04-08: After a couple weeks of use, the outside pockets stretched a little bit, making it better to fit the extra items I wanted to carry alongside my tablet. It still won't fit most charging bricks, but I did not need that. Since it has now met my functions in a relatively small and light bag, I changed the review from 4 stars to 5.Also, the Qishare customer service team works very hard to make sure that their customers are satisfied with their purchase, reaching out for feedback or offering to send an alternative replacement. It can be a little aggressive (Not all bags will be perfect for everyone! There's nothing wrong with a 4-star review!), but it is better service than most sellers through Walmart.
