We attached polycarbonate panels to two windows to protect them from hurricanes. The panels are attached to the house with a combination of a faucet and mounting screw and a wing nut that threads onto part of the mounting screw. The surface of our cinder block and stucco house has a convex surface that increases the effective height of the surface, causing the panels to lag the surface by approximately 1/8" to 3/16" and reducing the available machine screw length. I had to back off the Tapcon machine bolts a bit to accommodate the raised surface and this caused the Tapcons to loosen in the cinder block. I removed the faucets, taped each hole, and then reinstalled the faucets. That helped. The epoxy held the faucets firmly in place and there is no risk of the faucet screws (and hurricane plates) coming loose. This is good stuff. It is easy to apply with a special caulking gun, although some of the epoxy will come out of the tube if you release the pressure on the caulking gun. Otherwise it's just what I need to get the screws securely in place.
