I bought 2 for each bathroom as they showed signs of moisture issues. I walked all day and they only collected about 1/2 ounce of water, if any. I also have a separate moisture meter and it barely moved. I deal with mold toxicity and mold prevention is a major key to my recovery which is why I bought. I made sure to check their square footage before purchasing and the description says they are more than suitable for bathrooms. They work a little better than without them. I didn't like the way the tanks were designed for it. I could be wrong having looked at others similar in design on the tank. But the tank itself does not open. There is a drain plug at the top. I don't like that I can't open it up and clean it thoroughly when needed. Since it removes moisture from the air, bacteria, mycotoxins and other nasty substances can also enter the tank. It sends me signals that something can go wrong. Also, reading horror stories with pictures of dehumidifier mold probably doesn't help. Usually occurs due to improper cleaning. I also haven't seen where real coils can be cleaned. Everything is coated, so my best bet is to pour the vinegar into the tank, rinse, drain and wipe the outside. My other larger dehumidifiers have a washable filter, full access to the inside of the tank, as well as access to the coils. All of this needs to be cleaned according to the manufacturer's instructions, otherwise you can turn it into the perfect breeding ground for mold, fungus and bacteria. In my opinion this is bad design. While this isn't necessarily an issue with the dryer itself, I also didn't like that it didn't have a relative humidity gauge. It's just an on/off button. It was my fault when I bought it. I thought I bought one with a relative humidity meter. The only thing I liked about them is that they are small and when they really work they fit into small spaces. I liked the look of the dryer. He looked smoother than the others. But if they don't do what they're supposed to, they're just part of your setup. Maybe it's your thing, but even the prettiest dehumidifiers don't appeal to me visually. On the other hand, they are not loud. The fact that they barely worked on top of that, I send back.
