Since I'm in Arizona and it's not that cold there, it's perfect for me on camping trips. The lowest temperature we typically see on morning hikes is still above freezing and it's thick enough to keep you warm but not so thick as to be uncomfortable. It's very soft and smooth on your face. The only problem I have is that when used to cover my neck, nose and ears it is a little big and slips off my ears. I've found that if I fold the leggings a bit behind the head and wrap that part around the ears, they stay in place. If I wear a hat, the hat should hold it in place. It's just a tube, it doesn't have a shape, but that's part of what makes it so versatile.
