Review on Dorman M39952 Brake Master Cylinder by Jeremy Sabey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the slave cylinder.

Let's just say it works great. Just follow the instructions. To be successful I would take the following things seriously: 1. A large (litre) can of DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid (new).2. Flare wrench (I believe the fittings hanging from it were 9/16, but can't recall offhand - find this out by fitting a regular wrench to the fitting before heading to the parts store). The corners of tight fittings cannot be rounded off with the expanding key. About the weight of gold.2. Either buy a bleeder for your car (small check valves instead of blind fittings for each wheel - they sell them at Revain) or buy, hire or rent a bleeder system to bleed the brakes by forcing fluid through the end of the master cylinder. Because hardware replacement is nothing. Very easy. But bleeding requires the right tools.
