I bought this laptop desk for non-standard purposes. I needed something to use in my car for lunch and errands. I would NOT use this item on my laptop. I see this as the most popular use, but my laptop and mouse don't fit on this desk together. It's very small but it's just what I need for my car. I've tried tables that attach to the steering wheel but they never fit the steering wheel cover and sit at an odd angle. I have a sedan, I can slide the seat all the way back and it sits PERFECTLY on my lap. My cell phone can be plugged into it and I can watch my shows over lunch. That's great. The best part is that it's cheap, light weight, not big and bulky and fits nicely in the back seat. I definitely recommend it. Just not for laptops.
