I wanted a backup emergency radio and found this beauty. I really like the fact that its also has a powerful solar hand crank radio. It has a very powerful and bright lamp in the event of a blackout, a loud SOS alarm, and a very good and clear radio connection for access to local weather and other stations. You also have the option to use batters if you choose (3AAA), but again, you have the hand crank and solar option too. Not only that, but you can charge most USB devices. If you're into camping, then you can't go wrong with this item, but I highly recommend getting one of these or two of these for emergencies.
