Review on 📀 Enhanced Sony UBP-X700M 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player for Home Theater Streaming with included HDMI Cable by Sam Lund

Our first 4K BR player. We have two 4K TVs and as far as we know we've been streaming Netflix, Disney+ and other providers that offer 4K content. This player quickly spins up a 4K disc to begin playing from the disc, and overall this player seems fairly responsive when changing menus, accessing settings, etc. But Sony's wide range of apps completely drop it calmly. .They just don't exist! I'm using PLEX (server here), no PLEX app, no Disney+ app, no option to add access to HD cable TV streaming like Samsung HD TVs allow. Suffice it to say that most people already have a SMART TV that supports most streaming and this 4K player is mainly used for DVD and 1080 or 4K discs. (But) when a player is advertised as "smart," most buyers expect smart players to offer more apps and streaming services. Package. Sony failed miserably here. If you just want a 1080/4K player then this is the one you should consider, but if you want to use it for streaming and viewing media I suggest another manufacturer! 1 star (should be 1 1/2) for the lack of many popular apps on the Sony UBP-X700M.
