I love Black Widow pencils. Although these are budget crayons, they are a pleasure to use. They are wax based but not so soft that they cannot be used for small parts. I have all of the Black Widow pencil sets (three original sets plus two skin tone sets). This latest set, The Monarchs, completes the color spectrum on offer. I wouldn't buy this set as a standalone set (buy the first three sets for that), but it fills in the gaps pretty well. Please note that some colors are very subtle and look very close together. I'm using pencils in Joanna Basford's book right now. I especially like to add more blues and greens. Hold on to these blue and green upcoming Black Widows. Thank you for this affordable product.
