PROS: High quality ceiling light; good moisture and airtight seals; high light output; dimmable; Easy to install for lamp replacement. CONS: Requires a box with 3-1/2" mounting stud spacing, but comes with a round electric box pole for easier mounting. This is not a major disadvantage. NOTE: We replaced the 2.4" bay window dome lights, letting the moist air into the space above the ceiling Moisture froze or melted and caused leaks We used 2 Carlon B618RR-UPC old working electrical boxes (they have 3-1/2" spacing for the mounting screws) to mount the boxes to replace and install Cloudy Bay lamps on the boxes. We used the sponge and silicone pads that came with the lamps to create a moisture resistant seal with our textured ceiling. The result is better lighting and no moisture issues.
