Review on π Honeywell 5800PIR-RES Wireless Residential PIR Motion Sensor by Shane Minter
Suitable for non-pet or self-monitoring applications
This is my choice for wireless PIR movement when using 2Gig or Honeywell alarm systems. It has a good detection range, good battery life and a high-quality detector. It lacks pet immunity as my cats run it quite often, so it's better suited to either pet-free applications, self-monitoring systems, or in combination with security cameras. Yes, this particular step is fairly simple but effective and I have installed many of them with confidence.
- PCB does not need to be removed for wall mounting
